Awarded for achieving Platinum Cluster Status through excellence in intellectual property generation, technology commercialization, and innovation management, demonstrated by the filing of seven (7) invention patent applications, the successful commercialization of a patent-pending technology, the execution of copyright and trademark licensing agreements, and significant contributions to the successful trademark licensing of MSU-IIT. 

Mindanao State University - Iligan Institute of Technology (MSU-IIT), through its Knowledge and Technology Transfer Office (KTTO), received the prestigious Platinum Award at the 2022 ITSO 2.0 Clustering Program by the Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines (IPOPHL) last March 28, 2023 in Manila.

Mindanao State University - Iligan Institute of Technology (MSU-IIT), through its Knowledge and Technology Transfer Office (KTTO), received the prestigious Platinum Award in 2023 for the second time last March 18, 2024.

For the third consecutive year, Mindanao State University - Iligan Institute of Technology (MSU-IIT) has secured the prestigious Platinum Award in 2024—a testament to the relentless innovation and dedication of our KTTO team and researchers. 

MSU-IIT, through its Knowledge and Technology Transfer Office (KTTO), was conferred the Platinum Award by the Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines (IPOPHL) for the fourth consecutive year, receiving the distinction on March 25, 2026. This prestigious recognition underscores the University's sustained excellence in intellectual property creation, protection, and commercialization, reaffirming its commitment to innovation and technology transfer.
